Parsley

During the winter, I have noticed hundreds of orange polka dots on my old worn-out parsley patches. To my amazement, they were covered with ladybugs. They are attracted to very, very tiny aphids on the parsley. In the winter, I am now in the habit of keeping several old parsley patches scattered throughout the farm. I don’t have to wait for late spring for the ladybugs to fly down from the mountains and repopulate the farm.
